Methodology
SpecVexa is a small, research-led review site covering four categories: portable monitors, mice and keyboards, chargers and power, and cables and hubs. This page explains exactly how a review gets made — including the part most affiliate sites leave out.
We do not buy every product and test it in a lab, and we will not write as if we did. Our reviews are research reviews: we read the listing, the specifications, and the buyer feedback closely, apply what we know about how these devices actually connect and fail, and tell you what that adds up to. Where something cannot be verified, the review says so in plain words — you will see phrases like “listed” and “not verified” throughout, and that wording is deliberate.
Every published review is tied to a specific product (ASIN) that is live on Amazon — not a generic category write-up.

We identify a specific product in one of our four covered categories and confirm it has a real ASIN and a working product page. No ASIN, no publish.
We assemble the listing data, specifications, and stated compatibility into a structured draft: the verdict, who should buy it, who should skip it, pros, cons, features, and the questions buyers actually ask. Drafting is AI-assisted; the sourcing, structure, checks, and final call are ours.
The draft is scored against our own rules — balanced pros and cons, a clear buy/skip call, no fabricated specs, no unverifiable claims, complete affiliate disclosure. Drafts that fail go back rather than out.
A person signs off on eight items before a review goes live: facts checked, cons balanced, buy/skip clear, tone, SEO metadata, image, affiliate link, and disclosure. The publisher refuses any review whose checklist is not complete.
Listings change. Reviews are re-checked against the live listing and carry the date they were last updated. Products that go unavailable, or that fall outside our focus, get unpublished rather than left to rot.

If a spec is wrong, a product has changed, or a recommendation no longer holds, we want to fix it. Reviews carry the date they were last updated so you can see how current one is, and corrections are made to the review itself rather than quietly dropped.
